CYSAT 2024

mercredi 24 avril 2024 - jeudi 25 avril 2024

The 2024 edition of CYSAT 2024 will focus on the constellations with panels and presentations on renowned projects such as Galileo, IRIS2, Eutelsat Oneweb, France 2030 and Starlink

Conversations will revolve around the critical issues at hand:

IRIS2 : This European initiative is dedicated to building enhanced communication capacities for governmental users, and businesses while ensuring high-speed internet broadband to cope with connectivity dead zones.

What are the capabilities?

Galileo: Designed to operate independently of other global navigation systems, Galileo aims to provide Europe with its sovereign satellite navigation capabilities.

However, the extent of its sovereignty is a key question.

Starlink: As SpaceX continues to launch more Starlink satellites, expanding the constellation’s capacity and coverage, concerns arise about the security of these satellites, particularly in light of instances where some have been lost in space.

Eutelsat Oneweb: This constellation entails deploying numerous satellites into low Earth orbit to establish a network capable of delivering reliable and widespread broadband services.

How to make security solutions more accessible and enhance the maturity of newspace industry systems?

All these topics will explore the role of these constellations in global connectivity, potential cybersecurity challenges, and collaborative efforts aimed at ensuring the security and sustainability of these satellite networks.
