INTERSCHUTZ 2021: (14 – 19 June): INTERSCHUTZ postponed by one year – new date in June 2021 16 March 2020 INTERSCHUTZ, which was scheduled for June 2020, will be postponed by one year. This is the mutual decision of the organizers and partners of the world's leading trade fair for fire and rescue services, civil protection, safety and security. The reason is the coronavirus, which directly affects both exhibitors and visitors of INTERSCHUTZ and requires them to be available for duty at other locations. INTERSCHUTZ will now take place from 14 to 19 June 2021 in Hannover. Hannover. About three months before the actual start of the event, it is now certain that the next INTERSCHUTZ will take place in summer 2021. Webinar: Just-in-time training – best practices and methodologies in the medical, flood response and CBRN fields

Five EU-funded security networks of practitioners – DAREnet , FIRE-IN, NO-FEAR, eNOTICE and MEDEA – will organise a live webinar on the topic of just-in-time training applied to their domains on Thursday, June 18th 2020, from 10am to 12pm CEST. In the medical, civil protection and security fields, just-in-time training is delivered to practitioners to allow for the rapid acquisition of specific skills or knowledge when the need arises. Drawing from the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in the demand for immediate training of medical staff and other first responders in different aspects of infectious disease management, the webinar will expand on the current and potential applications of this concept response organisations with best practices and methodologies from three speakers with different backgrounds. Luca Ragazzoni, scientific coordinator at the Research Center in Emergency and Disaster Medicine (CRIMEDIM) of the Università del Piemonte Orientale, will present a concrete example of just-intime training at a tertiary referral hospital in northern Italy in light of the COVID-19 outbreak.
